What is a smash burger?
A burger where a ball of beef is pressed with a spatula onto a screaming hot griddle for a few seconds. Full contact with the metal triggers the Maillard reaction: a dark, crunchy crust outside and juicy beef inside. At How I Met Your Smash every smash weighs 90 grams and is pressed only when you order.
Where is How I Met Your Smash?
In Milan, Italy. The street address is coming soon: the opening date and location are announced on Instagram and on this page.
Do you deliver?
Yes. From opening day we deliver across Milan with Glovo, Deliveroo and Just Eat. It is the same burger served at the counter, pressed when the order comes in.
Are there vegetarian options?
Yes. Even Without is a bean and mushroom smash with cheese, pickles, red onion and legendary sauce. The full allergen list is available at the counter.
How much does a burger cost?
From 9.50 euro for The First Time with one smash to 15.50 euro for The Triple. Fries and onion rings from 4 euro, milkshake 5.50 euro. Prices may change before opening.
What do Big, Huge and Mammoth mean?
They are the three sizes of every burger: one smash, two smashes, three smashes with as many slices of cheese. Any burger on the menu can go up a level, just ask.
Can I book a table?
Yes, on WhatsApp. You write, we reply if we feel like it. We usually do.
